Two Men Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
